Here's what we were working with before we touched a single thing - patchy dead grass, old rock that had seen better days, no real gathering space, and a backyard that just wasn't being used. The before shots tell the whole story. This Stillwater family had a lot of potential in their yard, it just needed someone to actually do something with it.

We started from the ground up. Graded and prepped the entire backyard area using our CMP Hydrabucket, which lets us move and shape soil with a level of precision you can't get with basic hand tools. Good grading is what separates sod that thrives from sod that turns into a soggy, uneven mess. That prep work matters more than most people realize.

Once the ground was ready, we laid fresh sod across the whole backyard. Then we built out a fire pit and seating area from scratch - cleared the old rock, shaped the space, and finished it with clean white limestone. The result is a defined gathering spot that actually makes sense in the yard. Functional, low-maintenance, and built to last.

What we love about a job like this is that it hits every level. Lawn care, landscaping, and property maintenance all wrapped into one. The family gets a space they can actually use - kids can run around on healthy grass while adults have a solid place to pull up a chair and light a fire. That's the whole point.

The front of the home got some attention too, with fresh white limestone along the foundation that ties everything together. The whole property feels intentional now, front to back. That's what a well-planned outdoor space does - it makes the entire home look and feel better, not just one corner of the yard.
