This one started as a raw, sloped bank right on the water - nothing usable, just uneven ground and a view that deserved better. Here's what we were working with: a lakeside property in Winsted, MN with zero functional outdoor living space. Good bones, great setting, nowhere to actually sit and enjoy it.
We got the skid steer in, cut down and leveled the grade, and got to work on the base - because that's where a patio either holds up for decades or starts falling apart in year two. Proper groundwork is the part nobody sees, but it's the part that matters most. We don't skip steps on it.
For the surface, we went with Unilock Treo in River Blend - a solid, good-looking paver with natural color variation that works perfectly in a lakeside setting. The perimeter is finished with a Town Hall Basalt sailor border that gives it a sharp, defined edge. Then granite rock was laid in alongside the patio to frame it out cleanly and keep everything tidy where the patio meets the natural ground.
The whole thing came together in one solid day of work. That's not a rush job - that's an experienced crew with the right equipment and a clear plan from the start. Unilock products are also backed by strong manufacturer warranties, so this isn't just a patio that looks great right now - it's one built to stay that way.
Lakefront property is valuable. The outdoor space around it should match. If you've got a view like this and nothing to sit on while you enjoy it, that's a problem we're pretty good at solving.
