Minnesota weather doesn't ask for permission. This week brought a solid stretch of rain across the area, and while that slows some things down, it doesn't stop us. Our team has been staying flexible - adjusting schedules on the fly, planning ahead, and making sure we're putting every dry window to good use.
Here's what that actually looks like in practice. Ground gets cleared. Overgrown areas get opened up. Soil gets graded and prepped. Some of the areas we've been working through are pretty heavily wooded - tangled brush, overgrown understory, and existing hardscape features that have been completely swallowed up by years of growth. It takes real work to get ahead of that kind of thing.
The clearing and grading work we've been pushing forward is a good example of what landscaping in the Midwest actually demands. You're not always working in perfect conditions. Sometimes the soil is wet, the brush is thick, and you've got mature trees to work around. That's just the job. What matters is showing up with the right plan and the right equipment to handle it.
Lawn maintenance routes have kept rolling between rain events too. That's something a lot of people don't think about - keeping up with lawn care during a rainy stretch actually prevents bigger headaches down the road. Letting it go too long creates its own set of problems. We'd rather work around the weather than let it work against our customers.
We've also been busy on the planning side - estimates, new customers coming on board, and getting the second half of the season lined up. There's a lot happening behind the scenes, and we're grateful for a team that keeps grinding regardless of what the forecast says.
