When the Cokato Town and Country Club had a large tree deliberately vandalized on their grounds, we couldn't just look the other way. This is our community. These are our neighbors. So we reached out to Adam at CTCC and offered to handle the cleanup as part of our Community Action - no strings attached.
We also called on our good friends at Gatz Home and Renovations, and Sam jumped in without hesitation. That's what good community partnerships look like. A few phone calls, a shared goal, and a crew ready to work.
Here's what we were dealing with - a massive tree, cut down and left in the middle of the course. Chainsaw work to section the trunk, hands moving branches, a Bobcat loader hauling the heavy logs off the turf. It took the whole team working together to get it done right and get it done clean.
The tree itself can't be replaced. That's the hard truth. But we could make sure the reminder of what happened wasn't sitting there every time a member walked the course. Golf is back on without interruption, and the grounds are clear.
Running a small local business means more than showing up for paying jobs. It means showing up for your town. We believe that - and days like this are why we do what we do.
