Grace Place does a lot of good for their community. When we had the chance to give their outdoor space a look that actually matched that mission, we jumped at it. The before tells the whole story - overgrown shrubs, bare patches, raised garden bed clutter, and no real focal point for people coming and going from the building.
We came in with a full crew and the equipment to match. The compact track loader let us move material fast and prep the beds properly without tearing up the surrounding hardscape. That kind of efficiency matters on a commercial job where the goal is minimal disruption and a clean finish.
What went in is simple but well thought out. Fresh mulch beds with even coverage across the entire foundation area, neatly spaced shrubs and perennials that will fill in nicely as the season moves along, a stone pathway weaving through the planting beds, and a paver pad centered around a bench - turning what was dead space into somewhere people actually want to sit. A white gravel drip edge runs along the foundation line to keep things tidy and protect the structure.
This is exactly the kind of commercial landscaping work we do best. It is not just about making a place look good - it is about creating a space that works for the people using it every day. For community-focused organizations like Grace Place, that matters even more. The outdoor space is often the first impression people get, and now theirs is one worth having.
Community action is something we take seriously at A&E Outdoors. Getting to put our skills to work for an organization doing real good in the neighborhood - that is the kind of job that sticks with you. We are proud of this one.
